Future RRXC runners and parents,
It's my pleasure to invite incoming freshmen and their parents to the RRHS XC Booster Pre-Season Spring Kick-Off coming up on Kick off meeting at 630pm 4/17/2023 in the Round Rock High 700 building. The meeting will begin at 600pm and end around 700pm.
Directions: Enter the 700 Building on the West side doors.
Particulars are below, but we will be discussing our summer training, our upcoming season and team tryouts, introducing team captains, give tips on optimal training gear, and more.
Parents can meet our awesome RRXC boosters and learn about the role they play in supporting our program. In addition to attending the event, please also take a moment to sign up for RRXC's Remind and fill out our contact information HERE. Finally, if you would like to get your PRE-PARTICIPATION PHYSICAL* done for the 2023-24 school year for just $25 here on campus on May 16th. Doors will open at 5:00 pm for pre-screenings and Doctors arriving to help with physicals at 5:30 pm.
Proceeds go to helping outfit and supply the students in our Athletic Training Program.

RRISD requires that a valid athletic physical be on file each year for all athletes participating in athletics.

Tryouts:
We implement the cut off for safety reasons. Student athletes must have the necessary fitness prior to the start of school or incidence of injury is very pronounced due to the increase in frequency, duration, and intensity. We also must have runners who can cover the same distances reasonably close to each other or it is impossible to monitor them on training routes.

- Two 5K time trials will be held at the end of summer and are mandatory for entry into the program.
- Boys 10th-12th must be under 22 min (~7min mi) for 5K (3.1mi) to be in the period.
- Freshman must be under 24 min.
- Girls 9th - 30 min. or under; 10th-12th - 27:58 or under (9min. pace)
